Huge win for North Brooklyn! 🎉
We are thrilled to share that East Williamsburg has officially been awarded $20 million as the New York City winner of Governor Hochul’s Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI) and NY Forward program, community leaders and stakeholders came together to celebrate this monumental milestone. This combined funding will pave the way for transformative, community-led investments, focusing on:
Expanding affordable housing and economic development
Bolstering our local small businesses
Enhancing public spaces, parks, and local cultural venues

A massive thank you to Governor Kathy Hochul, Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso, our East Williamsburg Collaborative (Graham Ave and Grand St BIDs), and our community partners & neighbors whose input made this application a success. The future of East Williamsburg is bright!
