New Utrecht Library

Due to inclement weather, all BPL locations will be closed Sunday, January 25. If weather is severe, all locations will remain closed Monday, January 26.

New Utrecht Library is closed until October 28 for building maintenance. Please visit a nearby location for library service.

Holds not picked up on the last day the branch was open (October 21) will remain at the branch. We will extend the pickup time after the branch reopens so those holds may be picked up.

New Utrecht Library | Brooklyn Public Library New Utrecht Library has operated in its current location since 1956, but its history dates to 1894 and the opening of the Free Library of the Town of New Utrecht. The branch joined the BPL system in 1901.

Due to poor air quality conditions, all BPL locations will be postponing the Summer@BPL kick off celebrations scheduled for June 8.
