For nearly two years, Brooklyn Supervised Release partnered with Fountain House 🤝 on a daily “Coffee Corner” initiative ☕. Fountain House, an organization dedicated to supporting individuals impacted by mental health and substance use challenges, staffed a Coffee Corner station in our offices each day, offering complimentary iced coffee and custom sodas while connecting with participants awaiting their check-ins.

More than a refreshment station, the Coffee Corner became a welcoming space for conversation and community-building 💬, and a meaningful connection to Fountain House membership and resources.

As this chapter comes to a close ✨, we invited the Fountain House members who brought the space to life to reflect on their time in our offices and what the experience meant to them 💛.

Last week, BJI and our People team hosted a Wellness Fair for Supervised Release staff at one of our downtown sites. Over 120 staff from across all four sites came together for an afternoon of wellness services, food, and fun! 🫂 🥰

There were massages, manicures, henna, facials, and guided meditation, plus lively games led by People, HR, and Legal teams. Staff also let their creativity shine with DIY aromatherapy sachets, lavender plant potting, and art therapy workshops.  🌻 🧖‍♀️ 💅

A joyful day of laughter, getting pampered, and building community! 💙

Our Annual Bake-Off was worth the sugar crash! 🍬😴

From cookies and cupcakes to some seriously next-level treats like dark chocolate cherry brownies and shortbread lemon bars, no one held back — as for the judges, we had a tough job tasting and picking a favorite. 🍪🧁🧑🏽‍⚖️

Thanks to everyone who baked, tasted, and voted - These kinds of moments remind us how fun it is to build community together (one sweet bite at a time!) 💕

Pride Month gave us a chance to slow down, get creative, and just be together. 💞🌈

From making bracelets and tie-dyeing shirts to striking a pose at our DIY photo booth — it was about showing up for our LBTQIA+ friends, family, and neighbors. We celebrated love, identity, and community. 📸🎨

We appreciate everyone who took part — whether you made something, supported someone, or just came to vibe 🫶🏼

As the holidays get into full swing, we’re shouting out last month’s Thanksgiving Meal Giveaway! 🦃🍴

The event was a tremendous success - 🙌🏼 We distributed 170 hot meals to participants and community members, bringing everyone a bit of extra warmth and comfort this holiday season. 💫❤️ We are deeply thankful for the opportunity to support our community in such a meaningful way, and for everyone who contributed to making this event possible. 🥰
