During the “America’s Moments” section of the Hernando County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) meeting on October 13, 2026, Hernando County Fire Rescue Captain Andy Bryant presented the BOCC with a handcrafted wooden Florida state flag that he carved using a chainsaw and painted by hand!

This beautiful carving joins the American flag Captain Bryant also crafted and presented to the BOCC on May 26, 2026. Both flags are proudly displayed in the Commission Chambers at the Hernando County Courthouse for all to admire for years to come.

Thank you, Captain Bryant, for creating these flags for the community to enjoy!
