In 2022, Demstock created the Bricklayer Award, which aims to honor those special rural Democrats who have taken the extra step to build our cause in places that are so often overlooked, and even downright challenging to be an active democrat. We don't award it every year, only when we identify someone whose achievements cannot and should not be ignored.

This year, the Demstock Committee was pleased to present the 2026 Bricklayer Award to Gillian Kratzer. Her efforts as Chair of the PA Dems Rural Caucus, particularly in last year's important judicial elections, have been integral in moving rural PA forward.

Gillian, thank you for all you do, and we hope that you, and those who love and work with you, take a moment to celebrate everything you have done for our cause.
