IMPORTANT! Tomorrow (Tues 9/29) there will be hydrant flow testing in the residential areas west of Arlington Road the City of Brookville. Specifically the targeted hydrants are the new ones on the system along and adjacent to Meadow Glen Avenue.

Recent use of the water system in this area should have cleared any air or sediment (the usual reasons for discoloration), however testing always has the potential to cause the water to be discolored within the distribution system. You are encouraged to check water for discoloration prior to use. If discolored water is observed, run ALL TAPS at your home or business until clear - running until clear only typically takes a couple of minutes.

This flow testing is necessary to ensure the readiness of our water system - we apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.

Please join us in congratulating FF/EMT Dasha Quarles - today marks 2 years of dedicated service with the Brookville Fire Department!

In addition to her service with Brookville, Dasha serves as a medic in the U.S. Armed Forces. She has spent much of her second year deployed overseas.

Thank you, Dasha, for your service to both our community and our Country! We look forward to having you back on duty in the fire station very soon.

Please join us in congratulating Lt. Kyle Sewert - he achieved another work anniversary over this past weekend. Officially, it was his 13th, but that isn't exactly accurate. Kyle was originally a cadet, then served as a FF/EMT after graduating from Brookville HS.

Then he began serving as a Brookville Police Officer and left BFD for a few years. So, 13 years ago he changed police agencies and returned to BFD, and he earned promotion to Lieutenant in 2022. He also serves as the secretary/treasurer for the Brookville Fire Association.

Kyle and his wife are raising their family in Brookville, and we are thankful for his continued commitment to BFD.
