Early Bird Registration for the 2026 Fall BDYF Football & Cheer Season opens THIS Wednesday, April 1st.

Early bird pricing will run from April 1st through April 8th. Regular pricing will then go from April 9th through May 31st. We will NOT ACCEPT LATE REGISTRATIONS.

Key items to note for registration and the season:

1. When registering, please make sure you select the grade your child will be entering for the 2026-27 school year (DO NOT select their current grade).

2. Please make sure the email address you register with or that is listed within your account is correct. We have also included a field within the registration form to be able to include a secondary email for which you wish to receive league communication.

3. Practices will begin when OHSAA allows which tentatively is slated for the week of July 27th.

4. Our Pigskin Preview will be held on Sunday, August 23rd.

5. Regular season games will begin on Saturday, August 29th.

6. We understand our season overlaps with other extracurricular activities but please be aware REFUNDS WILL NOT be issued for schedule conflicts or change of minds. We have already begun incurring expenses with the ordering of equipment based on needs, recertification and expiration of helmets as well as the ordering of uniforms in January.

7. If your child is moving up to the next level (this applies to both football AND cheer), they WILL be entered into the draft. They DO NOT move to the same team color at the next level necessarily, unless they have a sibling remaining with a team from the previous year. If a team color would not be available at a certain level, the league reserves the right to reassign (its all dependent upon registration numbers).

8. If your child is returning to the same level, they will remain on the same team as last year UNLESS you email the BDYF President at [email protected] and request for them to be entered into the draft. Please note we are working with some 500 registrants so if there is an oversight, kindly let us know. It is not intentional.

9. Practice schedules:

Flag Football (K-2nd) – 3 days to begin and once school starts it goes to 2 days (days and times are determined by the coaching staff)

Padded Flag (3rd-4th) & Tackle Football (5th-6th) – 4 days to begin and once school starts it goes to 3 days (days and times are determined by the coaching staff)

Cheer practice days and times are determined once the coach has their assigned teams.

10. Game schedules will NOT be released by the SYFC until mid-August (please do not ask prior to them being released as we do not know). As soon as we have them, they will be released to Head Coaches to provide to parents. Games are held on Saturdays. Flag (K-2nd) usually plays at 9am or 10am. Padded Flag and Tackle games can be held from 9am to 7pm (depending on opponent and if home or away).

11. There will be some adjustments to practice fields again this year as we are working around the demolition and construction of the Brunswick City School District buildings and limited green space in the City of Brunswick so we ask for your understanding as we work through the logistics and parameters.

12. If you see a balance on your account, this means either equipment was not returned to us at the close of last season or you signed up for our fundraiser last year and did not sell tickets or pay the opt out fee. You MUST pay the balance before your registration can be completed.

As with each year, we are always looking for volunteer coaches for both football and cheer. NO experience needed. Please make sure to mark interest during registration for your child. By doing this, it allows our President and Cheer Coordinator to have an early insight into what our coaching needs are.

Mark your calendars! The BHS Theater Department's Spring Musical will take the stage TONIGHT through Saturday at the James J. Hayas Performing Arts Center at Brunswick High School. All performances will begin at 7:00 PM. This year, the musical is "Anything Goes," a comedy set aboard a transatlantic ocean liner. The story follows a Wall Street broker who tries to win back his love from her fiancé. With the help of fellow passengers, he devises a scheme to win her love through a mix of song, dance, and humorous situations.
