"When I think about teachers who have truly made a difference in my life, Mrs. Wynn is the first person who comes to mind."
For Brunswick High School’s Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Gena Wynn, helping students discover their confidence in science is at the heart of her work every day.
Whether guiding students through AP Environmental Science and AP Chemistry, founding the state-competing Science Olympiad team, or leading hands-on projects like building raised garden beds with the 4-H Environmental Club, Mrs. Wynn connects complex science concepts directly to real-world applications. Her high expectations and caring support produce extraordinary results, from achieving a 100% pass rate on the AP Environmental Science exam to driving a dramatic rise in End of Course scores across the Biology department.
Her impact reaches far beyond the classroom, inspiring her students to pursue STEM pathways and empowering her fellow educators through collaborative department leadership.
Please join us in celebrating Mrs. Gena Wynn on her recognition as a finalist for Glynn County Schools District Teacher of the Year!
