What an amazing day we all had at our 15th annual, 2026 Senior Health Expo last week on Oct. 8 - a record-breaking event! We had over 1,100 participants, over 50 sponsors, and over 100 businesses, services and programs for seniors represented - breaking records for all three categories! This year we distributed 600 swag bags at the door plus gave one to each exhibitor! AND dozens of raffles, takeaways and services took place and over 200 flu shots were administered by Martin's Point! Wow!

All attendees had a great time, got great material, connected with services, friends, and businesses, AND took home amazing swag and memories!!

Thanks to all the amazing sponsors, exhibitors, volunteers, and the Town of Brunswick! Special thanks to the amazing crew of the Town of Brunswick’s Parks and Recreation department who laid 15,000 square feet of floor covering and set up/took down 130 tables and over 260 chairs! What a team! We couldn’t have done it without all of you!

Please see our Facebook photo album, "15th Senior Health Expo 2026", for tons of pictures from the event! (We even got many of our exhibitors to make a "15" with their hands in their pics to celebrate our 15th annual event!)

See you next year at the 2027 Senior Health Expo on Thursday, Oct. 14, 2027 - save the date!

Tomorrow is INTERNATIONAL REPAIR DAY, and Curtis is excited to be hosting our popular REPAIR CAFE in the Morrell Meeting Room from 10 to 12:30. We will have experts able to repair electronics, lamps, mend clothing, small appliances, sharpen tools, wooden furniture and jewelry. If we are unable to repair your item we will make suggestions on where you can find the parts and learn how to do the repair or have it professionally repaired. Please bring your items to the library, through the outside doors to the Morrell Meeting room along Middle Street. This is a first come, first serve program and depending on the turnout we can't guarantee we will be able to help every one or repair every item. We'll also be hosting a COSTUME SWAP at the same time! Bring a costume you no longer need and go home with something new-to-you. It’s a fun, budget-friendly way to get ready for Halloween while keeping costumes out of the landfill. All ages welcome! Stop by our Repair Cafe and work with a fantastic team of menders if you need advice on alterations or assistance with simple mending!
