Today, Amity House held the Domestic Violence Awareness Luncheon to honor the 155 men and women, aged 1 to 68, who lost their lives to domestic violence in 2025.
Lynnea Maystrick from Camden House in St. Mary’s spoke about her experience surviving domestic abuse and how she escaped with her children and pets.
The day’s theme was, “No single agency can end domestic violence, but a connected community can make a difference.” This support helped Lynnea Maystrick leave and build a new life.
Amity House is starting a Task Force in Southeast Georgia to help build long-term resources. If you want to join or need support because of domestic violence, contact the Glynn Community Crisis Center at 912-264-HELP (4357).
Major Stephanie Britt, along with other law enforcement agencies and community support groups, attended. Thank you to the beautiful St. Mark's Episcopal Church for hosting the event.
