Access to health care should never be out of reach.
On Oct. 1, more than 1,000 immigrants across Maine lost their MaineCare coverage because of changes under H.R. 1. Thousands more Mainers are expected to lose coverage in 2027, adding to the challenges families already face as health care costs rise.
These changes affect our neighbors, coworkers, and friends and put even greater pressure on Maine's health care system.
Our commitment remains the same. We believe health care is a human right, and we will continue providing compassionate, no-cost care to adults who need it. As the need for care grows, so does the importance of community support, volunteers, and accessible health care services.
Read more about these changes, their impact on Maine communities, and how you can help Oasis continue caring for our neighbors.
