SCHOOL BUS SAFETY ALERT

Since the start of the school year, the Bryan Police Department has issued 9 citations, and the Ohio State Highway Patrol has issued 7 citations for school bus-related violations, bringing the total to 16 citations.

These enforcement efforts serve as an important reminder that school bus safety is not simply about following the law; it is about protecting our children and our community. Please slow down, stay alert, and stop when a school bus activates its red lights.

Bryan’s first day of school is tomorrow so it’s a good time to share this reminder of when you can pass a school bus and when you cannot per ORC 4511.75. The Bryan Police Department would like to remind everyone to drive with caution and patience for the safety of the children and school personnel. We are wishing everyone a great and safe school year! 📚✏️🚌💜💛🐻
