Alcohol. THC. Or both. Any high is a DWI. Always include a sober ride as part of your game plan. 🏈
Some good plays you can call:
- Designate a driver
- Call a sober friend or family member
- Take a rideshare or taxi service—split it with a friend!
- Use public transit
- Stay put until you’re sober

🚧WASHINGTON COUNTY🚧
TxDOT will begin construction on the SH 105 bridge over Jackson Creek, located approximately halfway between Brenham and Navasota, beginning on Monday, Oct. 26, 2026.

Crews will shift traffic to the north side of the existing bridge while the southern half is removed and replaced. Once work on the southern half is complete, traffic will be shifted and construction will move to the other half of the bridge.

Two lanes of traffic will remain open throughout construction; however, lanes will be narrow through the work zone. Drivers are encouraged to slow down, use caution and pay close attention to changing traffic conditions.

The approximately $3 million project will fully replace the existing bridge and is expected to be completed by the end of 2027. Larry Young Construction is the contractor for the project.

🚦BURLESON COUNTY🚦

UPDATED: The intersection of SH 36 and FM 60 will become fully signalized on Tuesday, Nov. 10. The signal will transition to full red, yellow, and green signal operations at that time.

Drivers are urged to use extra caution when approaching the intersection and be prepared to stop as they adjust to the change. Motorists should remain alert, watch for changing traffic conditions and follow all traffic signals.

The new signal was part of the FM 60 widening project and was constructed by Big Creek Construction.

TxDOT appreciates drivers’ patience and cooperation as motorists become familiar with the new traffic signal.

🚌💛 The wheels on the bus go round and round... and safety goes with us all around town! It's School Bus Safety Week!

The big yellow bus carries precious cargo. Help keep every ride safe by remembering:
- Wait for the driver's signal before boarding.
- Stay seated and listen to the bus driver.
- Cross in front of the bus, never behind it.
- Stop for flashing red lights and extended stop arms.
- Watch for children near bus stops and crossings.

Whether you're riding the bus, driving behind one, or sharing the road near a school, we all play a role in keeping students safe.

Let's work together to get everyone to and from school safely! 🚌💛
