FROM THE DESK OF MAYOR CHRIS TREAT

The City of Bryant has been awarded a $157,000 Recreational Trails Program grant through the Arkansas Department of Transportation to resurface the entire 1.4-mile Mills Park Trail.

The heavily used trail has experienced pavement deterioration, including tree root damage and uneven surfaces that create safety concerns. Resurfacing will address these conditions and improve the trail for residents and visitors who use it daily.

This investment will help maintain one of Bryant’s well-used recreational spaces and support safe, accessible opportunities for the community to stay active and enjoy the outdoors.

The first-ever We AR Bryant Award was presented to Bricin Martin in recognition of the sacrifices, strength, and unwavering support she has shown in service to our community. 💙

Behind the work that makes a difference, there are often people who give their time, energy, and so much of themselves without asking for recognition. Bricin’s contributions and sacrifices have helped make so much possible, and we’re proud to recognize the impact she has made.

We also do a special recognition for one employee each year--someone who has gone above and beyond in their service to the city, in their ability to work in a team, and in this case, in their talent for keeping a bunch of firefighters in line 😉 : Cindy Bell, Admin Assistant at Bryant Fire Department. Cindy has been a vital member of our team for many years now, and the Fire Department runs as smoothly as it does because of her behind-the-scenes work.

Thank you all for the hard work you do year-round!
