🔇 Weekly Act of Kindness Challenge: Cut Out the Noise, Turn Up the Positive 🌟

Life can get noisy. Distractions, drama, negative comments, and hurtful interactions—online and in person—can pull our attention away from what matters. This week, your challenge is to turn down that noise and make more room for kindness, encouragement, and positive connections. 💛

Before you join a conversation, share a post, or respond to a comment, ask yourself: “Am I adding to the negativity, or am I making things better?” 💭

This week, challenge yourself to:

- 🚶 Step away from drama. Don’t spread rumors, pile on in a group chat, or turn someone else’s mistake into entertainment.
- 📱 Choose your influences. Take a break from accounts or conversations that leave you feeling angry, discouraged, or pressured to put others down.
- 🤝 Replace the noise with kindness. Give a sincere compliment, include someone, or recognize something good another person has done.
- ☀️ Notice the positive. Each day, name one good thing that happened and one person you appreciate.

Focusing on the positive doesn’t mean ignoring problems. If someone is being hurt or bullied, speak up and get help from a trusted adult.

You may not control all the noise around you, but you can choose what you give your attention to—and what you add to the world. This week, let it be kindness.💛

🥚⬇️ Putting engineering to the test!

Students in Mr. Cook’s Advanced Technology, Engineering, and Design class participated in an egg drop challenge, putting their creativity and problem-solving skills to work to protect an egg during a fall!

This activity connects to North Carolina’s Technology, Engineering, and Design Standard 2.00: “Understand the Engineering Design Process.” Designing and testing a protective solution helps students connect classroom concepts to a practical engineering challenge while considering materials, evaluating results, and identifying possible improvements.

We love seeing our students put their ideas into action! 👏
