This afternoon, Haralson County Fire Department was dispatched to a reported vehicle fire.

As additional information confirmed the fire posed a significant threat to the residence, a full response was requested.

Upon arrival, personnel found a working fire confined to a vehicle threatening a structure.

Thanks to the quick actions of Engine 6 and Division Chief Cummings, firefighters were able to quickly bring the fire under control and contain it to the vehicle, preventing the fire from spreading to the nearby residence and the full response was canceled.

Unfortunately, one patient sustained burns and was transported for medical treatment.

This incident is a great example of how quick decision-making, proper resource deployment, and aggressive firefighting can make a significant difference in the outcome of an emergency. We’re extremely proud of our personnel for their swift response and outstanding work in protecting life and property. - Deputy Chief Dobbs
