Buck Creek Volunteer Fire Department activities

We are extremely proud to announce that seven members of the Washington Township / Buck Creek Volunteer Fire Department, alongside our partners at Tippecanoe Emergency Ambulance Service (TEAS), were recognized today by ZOLL Medical with Life-Saving Awards!

Thanks to rapid coordination and the deployment of our ZOLL AED and AutoPulse CPR device during a recent sudden cardiac arrest call, crews successfully resuscitated and transported a local resident.

Congratulations to our responding BCFD personnel:

Twenty-five years ago today, 343 firefighters answered a call they knew they might not come back from. They went up the stairs while everyone else came down.

Along with them, we remember the 71 law enforcement officers, the EMS personnel, and all 2,977 people who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.

The Washington Township/Buck Creek Volunteer Fire Department honors them today. Never forget

On Friday, we hosted Girl Scouts at our station to learn about the fire department. They also got to see what a firefighter looks like when they're wearing all of their protective gear. If they are ever in an emergency, they now know that there is a person inside all of that scary-looking stuff that is there to help them.

Today, we took delivery of our new extrication tools! We want to give a huge thank you to our community for supporting us. We appreciate the opportunity to replace our aging equipment with tools that will enhance our rescue capabilities for many years to come.
We had members of Boy Scout Troop 348 attend, which is always a great chance for us to share some of the things we do.
We would also like to thank Jim's Garage Inc. for donating the cars we used today.
