October is Fire Protection Month! This year's theme is safe battery charging.

Two of the easiest tips for you and your children are to 1) Replace cheap or worn out cables and 2) Charge your items on a hard surface - not something like a couch or blanket!

Help us keep you and your family safe!

We've learned of the recent passing of former member Arnold Hawkins. Arnold was a member of our department for many years.

Arnold didn't just respond to calls, he was active in community events as well. In this undated photo, Arnold is having a conversation at one of our Easter Egg Hunts.

Even Arnold's family had an impact at the station, with one of his son's Eagle Scout projects still in use within our station.

Our thoughts are with his family in this difficult time, and we appreciate all of his years of service.

UPDATE: FAN HAS BEEN LOCATED! WE APPRECIATE THE SHARES!

IMPORTANT: The Buckhannon Fire Department is missing a battery operated SuperVac fan that was accidentally delivered to the WVWC Flood drop-off point on Tuesday, July 28. That same day, the fan was acquired by a flood victim receiving supplies. This was an all around honest mistake. We are asking that anyone with any knowledge of it to please contact us! Please help us out get the fan back and share this post.
