Every month, every library branch gets a list of statistics, and guess what! In September, Merriweather's circulation was up 11% from where it was last year! 🎉 Public libraries are a lot more than just books now, but books still matter so much. In a world where books with diverse viewpoints are being challenged and removed from libraries, public education is being undercut, and things like critical thinking and empathy are disappearing, reading - whether it's for education or escape - is more important than ever. So whatever brings you to Merriweather, next time grab a book or two while you're here. A library card is totally free. It's good for your wallet, your brain, and your heart. 💙 Keep reading, East Side!

We're not ignoring you, we promise! Our phones are acting up again. We can hear you, but whether you can hear us is a toss-up. 🙃 The fax machine is technically working, but since it's tied into our phone lines, it's hit or miss for now.

If you need help, you can also email [email protected]. We'll try to keep close tabs there until things are fully up and running again. For faxing, you can go to Ink Spot at 1440 Jefferson or the Coles Branch Library at E. Delavan and Bailey. Sorry for the inconvenience!
