Our very own Emma-Grace LaFramboise is running as a Democratic write-in candidate for Lincoln County Commissioner 🤩 The Primary Election is just two days aways, so please share the word! Here is our call to action and a bio of our fearless candidate:
"Calling ALL registered Lincoln County Democrats!
You know as well as we do that way more people in our county share our
values but register as Republican because in primary elections here,
that's where most of the candidates are. So we are counting on YOU to
get out to this Tuesday's primary to embrace our WRITE-IN candidate for
County Commissioner—bio below—so that everyone who shares the values of
decency and respect and working for the common good will be able to
choose someone to represent them locally.
Democrats also have two-candidate races for U.S. House and Senate
positions, and given the complete capitulation of our current
delegation, bringing forward the strongest options there will also be
critical in the General Election. Your vote absolutely matters! Waiting
at home until November isn't an option this year. And tell your friends
who haven't voted in a while, or who have never voted (looking at you,
Gen Z) that they can register AT the polls as well.
We hope you'll be as excited as our executive committee is to write-in
our team member Emma-Grace LaFramboise (and yes, you are allowed to
bring a cheat sheet to the polls so you have her name handy).
Here's some info about Emma-Grace:
Emma-Grace first came to Wyoming to work for the Bridger-Teton National
Forest and ended up building her life here. Today, she lives and works
in Lincoln County and cares deeply about the community she’s chosen to
call home.
She knows what it’s like to work, pay rent, worry about affording a
home, and build a life in a small Wyoming community. Emma-Grace brings a
younger, fresh perspective to the challenges Lincoln County is facing,
from housing and healthcare to roads, our public lands, and the future
of our communities.
Emma-Grace believes a county commissioner’s first responsibility is to
listen. She wants to hear from the people who live here, understand the
issues they face, and help make decisions with Lincoln County’s
long-term future in mind.
She’s asking for your write-in vote in the Democratic primary because
Lincoln County deserves more voices in the conversation, and because the
people who will live here for decades to come deserve a voice in shaping
its future."
