We must always honor and show gratitude to Hispanic American veterans throughout Western New York for their service and sacrifice.

A special thank you to Gabriel A. Rodriguez Post 1928 for hosting such a meaningful event and helping preserve our veterans’ legacy.

I was honored to attend the ribbon cutting for the DL&W Station Roof Deck. The Roof Deck provides a 55,000sqft public event space.

Starting Saturday, people will once again have access to parts of this historic building that have been closed to the public for almost 65 years. This work represents a significant investment in the future of the DL&W and this historic part of the city.

I want to thank the NFTA, all of our partners, contractors, and everyone who has helped bring this project to this point. The DL&W has played an important role in Buffalo’s past. Today, we’re helping write its next chapter.

It was a pleasure to once again celebrate another mural unveiling in District 1 through Buffalo AKG Art Museum Public Art Initiative. I'm especially proud that this beautiful mural is located here at the Perry Homes.

Today, we’re seeing the history of the Perry’s turn the page toward a new chapter. The redevelopment of Perry Homes represents a major investment in this community, and this mural is another example of that investment being about more than bricks and mortar.

I want to thank the Buffalo AKG for its vision and commitment to ensuring that world-class art is available to all residents, BMHA for partnering on this important project, and of course the talented artists Elio Mercado and DJ Carr for their work.
