Yesterday, Macoupin County Democrats attended the Women with Nikki event in Springfield, and what a wonderful day it was!

We heard from Congresswoman Nikki Budzinski (IL-13), Illinois State Senator Doris Turner, and former Democratic National Convention Chair Minyon Moore during an engaging fireside chat about the midterm elections, lessons for Democrats, and how we can strengthen our party and better serve our communities.

It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow Democrats, share perspectives, and reflect on the work ahead.

Thank you to Congresswoman Budzinski for bringing women together for these important conversations. Macoupin County Democrats were proud to be part of the day! 💙💙💙

Thank you to Laura Fortado and Pam Monetti for photos.

Meet Kimberly Rossini for Macoupin County Board for District 5

Kimberly Rossini is more than a candidate. She’s a mom, a wife, a friend, and a full-time working professional who understands the everyday demands and concerns that families in our community face.

For Kimberly, serving her community isn’t something that begins with a campaign. She has already given her time and energy to organizations close to home, including the Friends of the Gillespie Public Library and the Locust Street Resource Center. These connections reflect her involvement in the community she calls home and the people who make it special.

After being encouraged more than once to run for County Board, Kimberly decided it was time to take that next step. She wants to listen to residents, understand their concerns, and help ensure the voices of District 5 are heard.

In this interview with Left Leaning Ladies, Kimberly shares what inspired her to run, the issues that matter to her, and why local representation is important to her and her family.

💙 GET TO KNOW DR. NANCY STANTON BITNER — MACOUPIN COUNTY BOARD CANDIDATE, DISTRICT 7!

Some people serve their community by simply showing up, year after year, doing the little things that make life better for the people around them. That’s a big part of Nancy Bitner’s story.

From helping families through the Girard Food Pantry, to volunteering with North Mac Kiwanis, to writing grants that help local organizations get the resources they need, Dr. Nancy Stanton Bitner For Macoupin County Board has made giving back part of her everyday life. She’s helped raise money for the Girard Community Center and is working to help the Girard Police Department obtain digital radios. For Nancy, community service isn’t a campaign talking point — it’s personal.

Now, as a candidate for Macoupin County Board in District 7, she’s talking about transparency, fiscal responsibility, infrastructure, and economic development, and how she hopes to serve her community in a new way.

Watch this Left Leaning Ladies conversation with Nancy and get to know the person behind the candidate!
