Happy National Principals Month!

This month, we recognize Katie Zimmerle, principal of Buddy Taylor Middle School. The work of a principal reaches far beyond the school day, and we’re grateful for the steady leadership she brings to BTMS and the difference she makes in the lives of our Eagles.

Help us congratulate Kyleigh, this week’s Beaver Toyota Student of the Week!

Kyleigh is 10 years old and in the 5th grade at Rymfire Elementary School. We’re happy to see another one of our Flagler students getting recognized!

Way to go, Kyleigh! We’re cheering you on!

A big thank-you to Beaver Toyota, Beach 92.7 and the Flagler County Education Foundation for helping us celebrate our students each week.

Congrats to the Beaver Toyota Student of the Week, Kyleigh! Kyleigh is 10 years old and is in the 5th grade at Rymfire Elementary School. Her biggest goal for this year is to get good grades on all her assignments. Her favorite subject at school is reading because she’s better at it than math! She is very proud of recently getting 100% on a math test! She likes to read books with multiple chapters on lots of different topics. One person she really looks up to is her mom, because she said her mom is really nice. Kyleigh’s favorite thing is to spend time with her family and she'd love to go on vacation again to Montana because her family has been there a few times and she loves to go sledding and play in the snow. If she could trade places with any animal, Kyleigh would be a whale because they are so big, no other animal could hurt them. Kyleigh would like to say thanks to her friends and family. Congrats, Kyleigh!

Happy National School Lunch Week!

Let’s give a big thank you to the people who keep our cafeterias running and our students fed every day! Our school nutrition teams do so much behind the scenes, from getting meals ready to greeting students as they come through the lunch line.

Thank you for showing up every day and taking care of our kids. We appreciate you and all the work you do!

Superintendent LaShakia Moore joined the Fall 2026 Flagler County Government Citizens’ Academy this morning to share how Flagler Schools is making a difference in our community.
As the county’s largest employer, Flagler Schools plays an important role in preparing students for their futures. Superintendent Moore highlighted the many programs, opportunities and pathways available to students as they prepare for life after high school and success beyond the graduation stage.
Thank you to Flagler County Government for the opportunity to share more about our schools and the work happening across our district.
