The Burbank Fire Department recently wrapped up RT-130 training, Wildland Fire Safety Training Annual Refresher. This training is designed for line personnel and emphasizes important skills in wildland fireline safety, helping team members recognize and reduce risks, stay safe, and continue to work effectively while protecting communities from the dangers of wildfires.

It’s Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Week! The Burbank Fire Department continues to enhance its EMS by sending personnel to paramedic school and participating in a lung ultrasound pilot program for patients with respiratory distress. Also, we’re proud that Rescue Ambulance 14 is in service for its second year.

Thank you to our Nurse Educator Patty Guevara, who works closely with our paramedics to ensure high quality care and treatment, and to the wonderfully compassionate and dedicated nurses at the Providence St. Joseph Medical Center. Burbank Fire recognizes the invaluable role nurses play in our lives, and is thankful to all who make it their calling to help others.
