Through our program with LAHSA, we had been working with Michael to support his housing stability and long-term goals. Michael recently secured employment and is currently enrolled in a culinary training program. Upon completion of the program, he will be connected with job placement opportunities to support continued employment and self-sufficiency.
Michael has demonstrated resilience and determination throughout his journey. With stable housing, renewed community connections, and a clear career path ahead, he is building a strong foundation for long-term independence and success. We are happy to share that Michael moved into a new apartment this week. We will continue to support his aspirations.

We are just 9 days away from our 2026 Gala, and excitement is building as we prepare for what promises to be a truly memorable evening on Friday, June 12.
This event has been a long time in the making, and we want to extend our sincere gratitude to our incredible Gala Co-Chairs, Nancy Guillen and Laurie Krattiger, who, alongside a dedicated committee of volunteers, have worked tirelessly to create a unique and fun celebration of the impact Home Again LA is making throughout our community.
Together, we will celebrate an organization that is changing lives every day through housing assistance, eviction prevention, grocery distribution, hygiene services, and so much more. All of this is made possible because of the support from the evening honorees USC Verdugo Hills Hospital and the Engel family who have given their treasures and time to help the families in our various programs. We will also be acknowledging former BTAC CEO Barbara Howell for her leadership to the Pantry.
This year's event is already a tremendous success thanks to the generosity of our event sponsors, underwriting sponsors, and community partners. We are especially grateful to Metropolitan Culinary Services, which is bringing together approximately seven restaurants from the new Hollywood-Burbank Airport Terminal to showcase some of their fan-favorite dishes. We also want to thank our outstanding audiovisual partner, Modern Illumination, and the many others who have contributed their time, talent, and resources to make this event possible.

When the Bergere family lost their apartment after the building was sold, they faced months of uncertainty, moving from motel to motel while searching for stability.
Through our program, they found safe shelter, hot meals, and dedicated case management. After 90 days of hard work and perseverance, they were connected to a housing opportunity and finally moved into a home of their own.
Today, the Bergere family is settled, safe, and building a brighter future. We are honored to have been part of their journey. 🏡❤️ City of Glendale, CA City of San Fernando, Government
