The Pender County Planning Board will hold its regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at the Pender County Administration Building, 805 S. Walker St. in Burgaw.

The public is welcome to attend the meeting in person or stream online.

Pender County Emergency Services invites the community to join us as we officially place our newest apparatus, Truck 16, into service with a traditional Push-In Ceremony.

The push-in ceremony is a long-standing fire service tradition, dating back to the days when fire apparatus had to be physically pushed back into the station after a call. Today, it serves as a meaningful way to welcome a new apparatus and recognize the firefighters who will serve with it.

The Pender County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's assistance to help in locating the following missing person who was last seen on foot in the area of Washington Acres in Hampstead, NC.

The subject, Grayson Lewis is 18 years old, a white male, with brown eyes, 5'3" tall, and 130 lbs. Grayson Lewis was last seen wearing: sweat pants, a black jacket, and white shoes. At this time, Investigators believe Grayson to still be in the area of Hampstead.
