A very big Thank You to retiring Fire Commissioner Sitterely! Eighteen years of service to our communities-an impressive tenure. Your leadership resulted in outcomes that benefited citizens, firefighters, and staff of the department.
Facebook probably has a character max (unconfirmed) that will limit our acknowledgment of all you’ve been part of: an increase in staffing to address the uptick in emergency call volume, two new stations built, a mobile integrated health unit added to work with our more vulnerable population, and countless community events.
You will be missed for your caring and compassionate approach to all things fire service. Your expertise and ability to critically think in pursuit of great results has been a pleasure to watch. The trust you put in your firefighters to get the job done did not go unnoticed.
Enjoy your retirement from the Board of Commissioners. Again, thank you from all of us. We’ll take it from here.
