A SAFER WORKPLACE STARTS WITH TAKING CARE OF THE PEOPLE IN IT. ❤️

We’re incredibly grateful to Texas Mutual Insurance Company for a Safety Grant helping Harvest House invest in ergonomic office equipment, including standing desks, anti-fatigue mats, and ergonomic chairs for our team!

It may sound like a small thing, but the right workspace can make a BIG difference. Ergonomic equipment can help reduce strain from prolonged sitting or standing, encourage better posture, and help prevent common workplace aches and injuries.

Our team spends countless hours serving our neighbors, coordinating volunteers, connecting with community partners, and keeping Harvest House moving—and we want to make sure we’re taking care of the people who make that work possible. ❤️

VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH: MEET ROSIE! ❤️

Rosie has always had a heart for giving back. After previously volunteering at a food pantry, she found Harvest House while searching for a place to serve and quickly jumped right in!

Since joining us in February, Rosie has helped with everything from client data entry and shopping with clients to restocking the pantry, preparing food bundles, and helping at our Resale Store.

Her favorite part? Seeing the smiles and gratitude from the clients she helps and knowing that even small acts of kindness can make a BIG difference. ❤️
Her advice to future volunteers:

“Do it—but do it with compassion and passion!”

Harvest House is grateful to Lost Oak Winery for once again finding a creative way to give back to our community.

From October 1 through November 1, visitors can stop by the Pumpkin Patch during regular Tasting Room hours and purchase a pumpkin, with proceeds benefiting Harvest House and our mission to Feed • Clothe • Restore.

There is no admission required, making it an easy way to enjoy the season while supporting neighbors right here in our community.

Partnerships like this are a wonderful reminder that supporting your community can take many forms—and sometimes it looks like picking out the perfect pumpkin. 🎃❤️

❤️ EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH: MEET CLAUDIA! ❤️

This month, we’re excited to celebrate Claudia as our Employee of the Month! 🎉 She’ll also mark three years with the Harvest House family this October!

Claudia’s Harvest House story began when she was simply looking for a place to donate clothing and household items. After seeing a job opening for a bilingual receptionist, she decided to take a chance—and we’re so glad she did!

Today, Claudia wears MANY hats. She helps our clients with registration, coordinates our amazing volunteers, assists with ESL and financial literacy classes, and jumps in wherever she’s needed—from the office to the pantry and everywhere in between.

But what Claudia loves most is the people. ❤️ Seeing the relief on someone’s face when they receive the help they need and knowing she made their day a little better is what makes this work so meaningful to her.

Her advice to anyone thinking about joining Harvest House as a volunteer or staff member?

“Do it! You will find some of the best people here, and before you know it, they will feel like a second family.”

Claudia, your compassion, empathy, and willingness to serve are felt throughout Harvest House. Congratulations on being our Employee of the Month! We’re incredibly thankful you took that chance three years ago and became part of our family.❤️

Our Pumpkin Patch is open from October 1–November 1 during regular w**ery hours.

Come grab a glass of w**e, wander through the pumpkins, take your fall photos, and enjoy a cozy afternoon at the w**ery. Bring your friends, family, or your favorite fall date.
