Severe Thunderstorm Warning

The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has issued a

* Until 730 PM CDT.

* At 625 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 6 miles north of Weatherford to near Western Lake,
moving east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
Fort Worth, Burleson, Cleburne, Weatherford, Benbrook, Saginaw,
White Settlement, Crowley, Azle, Granbury, River Oaks, Everman,
Keene, Joshua, Sansom Park, Lake Worth, Eagle Mountain, Willow
Park, Edgecliff Village, and Aledo.

This includes the following highways...
Interstate 35W between mile markers 35 and 58.
Interstate 20 between mile markers 402 and 437.
Interstate 30 between mile markers 1 and 16.

For residents with disabilities, limited mobility or communication barriers, preparing for an emergency can come with additional challenges. That's where STEAR comes in!

The State of Texas Emergency Assistance Registry (STEAR) is a 𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗘 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 that helps local emergency planners and first responders better understand the needs of residents who may require additional assistance during an emergency.

The Burleson Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating 14-year-old Austen Clark, who was reported as a runaway. Austen was last seen on the evening of October 10, 2026, leaving her residence.
• Height: 5'6"
• Weight: 110 lbs
• Hair: Brown, curly
• Eyes: Brown
• Last Seen Wearing: Black sweatpants with rhinestones.

Austen is believed to still be in the local area and may be frequenting unknown friend’s residences.
If you have seen Austen or have any information regarding his current location, please do not attempt to contact him directly. Call the Burleson Police Dispatch immediately at (817) 426-9910.

UPDATE: 8:30 p.m. Roadway has reopened
𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗙𝗙𝗜𝗖 𝗔𝗟𝗘𝗥𝗧 | 𝗜-𝟯𝟱𝗪 𝗦𝗢𝗨𝗧𝗛𝗕𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗗 𝗖𝗟𝗢𝗦𝗘𝗗

I-35W southbound is currently completely shut down due to a vehicle fire and a grass fire.

⚠️ Drivers should avoid the area, expect significant delays and use alternate routes.

Please use caution and allow emergency crews room to work safely.

Yesterday, 3 members of Burleson Fire/EMS graduated from the National Honor Guard Academy.

The academy was hosted in Mansfield by Mansfield Fire Department and focused on developing honor guard and color guard units and enhanced skills in an organization.

3 of our members: Engineer/Paramedic Kobey Roberts, Engineer/Paramedic Daniel Polson, and Firefighter/Paramedic Matthew Jefferson put in hard work during the last week and now will bring their skills to the BFD Honor Guard.

Congratulations Gentlemen!
