🌟 Senior of the Month: Jean Hash 🌟

We're excited to recognize Jean as our Senior of the Month! Jean has been a familiar face at the Senior Activity Center for many years and brings kindness, energy, and a love of friendship wherever she goes.

Whether she's joining a game with friends, or staying active with her daily walks, Jean is a wonderful example of living life to the fullest. We are grateful for all she contributes to our Senior Center community and are proud to celebrate her this month.

🎲 Full House at Dominoes Today! 🎲

The tables were full and the competition was friendly this morning at the Burleson Senior Activity Center! Our dedicated dominoes players showed up bright and early for another great day of fun, laughter, and fellowship.

Did you know our dominoes group meets Monday through Friday at 8:00 AM? Whether you're a seasoned player or looking to learn, there's always a seat at the table and new friends to meet.

♟️ One board wasn't enough for Ken!

During Chess Club at the Burleson Senior Activity Center, Ken took on three opponents at the same time while laughter and conversation filled the room around him.

One of our Chess Club members, Jeff, was inspired to write this poem:

"At the senior center
It seems everyone has
A hitch in their giddy up
Yet there are smiles all around
Sitting here playing chess
Listening to all the laughing
It occurs to me
It's my very favorite sound."

Those words capture something special about our center. While the chess matches may be competitive, it's the friendships, conversations, and laughter that keep everyone coming back.

Thank you, Jeff, for sharing your talent and for reminding us that sometimes the best part of the game isn't winning—it's the joy of being together. ❤️
