Happy birthday to our Chief, Chief Tolman! 🎂🚒 We wanted to put the right number of candles on your cake this year, but after a quick risk assessment, the crew decided it would technically qualify as a working structure fire. So we've got the hoses staged and an engine on standby, just in case. Thanks for your leadership, your patience with all of us, and everything you do for Burley Fire and our community. Burley Fire Department and IAFF Local 3308 are out today for MDA's Fill the Boot. Find us at Idaho Central Credit Union in Burley until 5 PM. Just look for the flag flying from the ladder truck.

Every dollar you drop in the boot helps kids and adults living with muscular dystrophy and other neuromuscular diseases get care and equipment, and funds research toward a cure.

Burley Fire Department and IAFF Local 3308 are hitting the street to support MDA! Swing by Idaho Central Credit Union in Burley this Friday, Oct. 9, from 9 AM to 5 PM, and drop a few dollars in the boot.

Every dollar helps MDA support kids and adults living with neuromuscular disease, a cause firefighters have stood behind since 1954. ❤️💙

Honk, wave, and say hi to our crews. Cash, change, it all adds up!

🔥🥞 FIRE PREVENTION BREAKFAST — Saturday, October 3rd! 🥞🔥

Join the Burley Fire Department for our annual Fire Prevention Week fundraiser breakfast! Come hungry, bring the whole family, and help support your local firefighters.

📍 Burley Fire Department
🕗 7 AM - 11 AM
🎟️ $5 per plate or $20 per household
(suggested donation)

Pancakes, eggs, sausage, coffee, and the chance to meet your crew and check out the trucks up close. Kids can climb aboard the engine and check out the station while you’re here!

Every dollar goes right back into the department and our fire prevention programs in the community.

🚒 NEW FIREFIGHTER SHANTELL MARTINEZ 🚒

At last night’s Burley City Council meeting, Shantell Martinez was sworn in as a full-time Firefighter with the Burley Fire Department. While we have had many female volunteer firefighters through the years, Shantell will leave her mark in the record books as the first full-time female firefighter in the history of this department, and we couldn’t be happier.

Shantell comes to us with four years of experience from East End Fire, along with a great attitude and a drive to serve our community. She shined above candidates from several states through a rigorous selection process that included a physical agility test, a written test, and an interview panel.

She joins us as an eager firefighter with a genuine drive to lift others up and see them succeed right alongside her. Shantell will be serving on our new A shift along side Captain Jason Christ and Lieutenant Nathan Brown.

Thank you to Shantell’s family for standing beside her last night — you carry this job right along with us.

🚒 PROMOTION ANNOUNCEMENT — LIEUTENANT NATHAN BROWN 🚒

At last night’s Burley City Council meeting, Nathan Brown was promoted from Firefighter to Lieutenant of the Burley Fire Department.

Nathan shows up with a great attitude every single shift. He’s a natural teacher who takes the time to bring others along with him, a leader his crew trusts, and a firefighter with a real drive to always do what’s right — even when it’s the harder road.

Nathan put in the work off the clock as well, earning the certifications required for the position, and then excelled through a rigorous promotional process to earn this rank. All while being a business owner, husband and father. Congratulations Lieutenant, this promotion is well deserved.

Thank you to Nathan’s family for standing beside him last night — you carry this job right along with us.
