⚡ E-Bikes & E-Scooters: Know the Rules! 🚲

E-bikes and e-scooters are a popular way to get around, and we want to make sure our community knows the rules and stays safe while using them.

The City of Burlington follows Colorado state law regarding e-bikes, e-scooters, and other electric devices. The local restriction to keep in mind is that these devices may not be ridden in City public parks.

We’re sharing these helpful guides from the Colorado State Patrol that break down the different classifications, where they can be operated, and the rules and safety requirements that apply.

Parents: If your children ride an e-bike or e-scooter, please take a few minutes to review this information with them and make sure they understand the rules of the road and how to ride safely.

Whether you’re driving, walking, biking, or scooting, be alert, be courteous, and watch out for one another.

Ride smart. Ride safe. ⚡
