"Rock Point Commons has given me the gift of wonder. I truly loved the ephemeral wildflower journaling workshop. I found myself thinking about the experience for the rest of the day and spent a few hours researching some of the plants that Lorna pointed out along the trails. (Hepatica is a marvel!)
I usually commune with nature by taking a walk/hike/trail run through the woods. Moving at a slower, intentional pace and focusing intently on whatever caught my eye took me back to my childhood, where everything was magical and sparked my curiosity. I enjoyed this experience so much that I participated in several other workshops and plan to do more this fall." -Kasie Nolan, Burlington Community Member

Our land steward Tyler Pastorok led us through the history of the orchard, and even baked a pie using pears and black currant harvested at Rock Point. Want to become a sustaining member? Sign up at rockpointvt.org/giving and you’ll get invited to these quarterly, guided walks!

"Having Rock Point in our network is a wonderful opportunity for Vermonters and visitors alike. Folks get to stay and spend time in a scenic and unique environment, all while being able to access the attractions of Burlington by way of the bike path or public transportation. It’s the best of both worlds." -RJ Thompson, Executive Director, Vermont Huts & Trails

Do you know about Rock Point's community orchard? This past year was abundant with pears, apples, blackberries, raspberries, elderberries, seaberries, sumac, currants, hazelnuts, and more. This orchard's history dates back more than 100 years, and evidence of this history can be found all over. Agroforestry trends are evolving, and we are keeping up with the times! What does the future hold for this community food forest? Join us for a tour and orchard treats, and to pick up a bottle of Rock Point Maple Syrup!
