Yesterday Skagit GSAR got a call to assist two hikers on Hidden Lake trail who were lost and couldn’t find their way back to the trail. This is the second call in this area in the last few weeks. In both cases the hikers were very unprepared for the conditions of the hike. Volunteers on the GSAR team were able to locate the parties, give them food and water and extra layers and guide them safely off the mountain.

Please make sure you research the hike you are taking and go prepared with the 10 essentials. And remember that conditions can be very different in the mountains and weather can change very fast.
