CVOEO’s Statewide Housing Advocacy Programs, Rights & Democracy Vermont, and other partners are collecting information about existing tenant organizing groups and renters’ interest in forming new groups in order to offer technical assistance, organizing support, and connections - and also to assess interest in a statewide tenant association. We hope to host convenings at sites around the state this fall, as well as a larger convening in Burlington Nov. 21 in partnership with the National Low Income Housing Coalition.

There’s still time this September to support CVOEO’s Housing Advocacy Programs (Thriving Communities: Building a Vibrant, Inclusive Vermont ) through City Market ’s Rally for Change! 💚

When you shop at City Market, round up to the nearest dollar at checkout and 40% of this month’s Rally for Change donations will support CVOEO.

This month, those funds will help support our statewide Housing Advocacy Programs, which provide education, advocacy, technical assistance, referrals, and other resources to help Vermonters secure and maintain safe, stable housing.

The team works with renters, mobile home residents, people experiencing housing discrimination, housing and service providers, municipal officials, and communities across the state. Their work is grounded in a simple belief: housing is a basic human right, and everyone deserves equitable access to a home free from discrimination.

Programs include Vermont Tenants, the Mobile Home Program, the Fair Housing Project, Housing Stabilization and Retention Services, and other initiatives working toward more inclusive and affordable housing throughout Vermont.

Next time you’re checking out at City Market this month, consider rounding up. Small change can add up to meaningful support for housing advocacy across Vermont.

Thank you to City Market and everyone who chooses to Rally for Change with us! đź’š
