September 11, 2001 🇺🇸

The number 343 represents more than firefighters. It represents 343 people who had families, friends, and lives waiting for them at home.

Some were on duty that morning. Some had finished their shifts. Some were off duty entirely. But when they heard their city needed help, they came back. They stayed. They went in.

They climbed hundreds of stairs carrying heavy gear, searching for people they had never met.

343 firefighters answered the call that day. 343 never came home.

Twenty-five years later, we honor their courage, their sacrifice, and the legacy they left behind in the fire service.

Every time we answer an alarm, we carry their legacy with us.

We remember the 343.
We honor their families.
We will never forget. 🇺🇸🚒

Please join us in recognizing one of our own!

We are proud to announce that FF/EMT Drew Davis has been selected as the Washington State Firefighters’ Association Firefighter of the Year—a well-deserved honor recognizing his dedication, service, and commitment to the fire service.

Drew joined our department right out of high school after participating in the Sno-4 Fire Explorers program with Snohomish County Fire District 4. He began his journey with District 6 as a volunteer, earned a spot in our scholarship program, and later became a resident firefighter.

Throughout his time with the department, Drew has consistently demonstrated the qualities that define an outstanding firefighter. He is hardworking, compassionate, dependable, and always willing to go the extra mile for both his crew and the community he serves.

Congratulations, Drew, on this incredible achievement. We are grateful to have you as part of the District 6 family and couldn’t be more proud of this well-earned recognition! 🚒👏

Another successful extrication training in the books!

Did you know? Motor vehicle crashes are one of the leading causes of traumatic injury, and the first hour after a serious crash can be critical for patient outcomes. That’s why we continually train on vehicle stabilization, disentanglement, and patient extrication, so we’re ready when seconds matter most.
