🕷️ Don’t get tangled up… we need your help! 🕸️

Join us for Spider Storytime this morning at at 11 am in the kids area. We’ll have a web of fun for our little readers ages 0–6ish!

While you’re here, help us SPIN some kindness! 🕷️ We’re collecting diapers for the Live Like Megan Foundation, especially larger sizes, pull-ups, and overnight diapers. We have some of the best and most generous patrons in NC, and we need your help! ❤️

We’re collecting diapers for the Live Like Megan Foundation, which supports children in foster care and youth facing difficult circumstances through education, enrichment, and community programs.

All diaper sizes are needed, but pull-ups and overnight diapers in larger sizes are especially appreciated! As the box fills, we will take it to them. If you can help, bring your diaper donations to the box at our front entrance- THANK YOU!

📚 Older kids belong at the library, too!

Did you know Scholastic found that reading enjoyment drops from 70% among kids ages 6–8 to just 46% among ages 12–17? Let’s help keep reading fun as our kids grow!

At Yancey County Public Library, we have more than chapter books! From graphic novels that help reluctant readers get started to our StoryWalk, LEGOs, board games, and opportunities to learn English and Spanish, there’s something for everyone!

🍂 Next week, we’re hosting a spooky fall story challenge to encourage older elementary, middle, and high school students to get creative and write their own stories!

Parents, bring your kids by and let them explore! They might just find something they love. ❤️
