🚒👮 Safety Day with Pleasantview Fire Protection District! 👮‍♀️🚒

The Burr Ridge Police Department was proud to participate in the Pleasantview Fire Protection District’s Safety Day Event! It was a great opportunity to connect with community members, share important safety information, and work alongside our fellow first responders.

The Burr Ridge Police Department had a great time at the Willowbrook Public Safety Open House! We loved meeting so many community members and interacting with everyone.

It’s always a privilege to connect with our neighbors and work alongside our fellow first responders. Thank you to everyone who came out and helped make it such a successful event!

A big THANK YOU to the Willowbrook Police Department for inviting us to be a part of such a great event. We truly enjoyed being there and connecting with the community!

🚲 Bike Rodeo at Elm School! 🚲

The Burr Ridge Police Department had a great time at the Bike Rodeo at Elm School! It was a fun day focused on bike safety, safe riding practices, and helping our young riders build confidence on two wheels.

We want to give a BIG THANK YOU to the Hinsdale Police Department, King Keyser, and all of the wonderful parent volunteers who helped make this event a success. Your time, support, and dedication made a difference!

Most importantly, thank you to all of the students and families who came out and participated. We hope everyone had a great time and learned a few things to help keep them safe while riding! 🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️

The Burr Ridge Police Department participated in the “Click It or Ticket” traffic safety campaign over Labor Day, focusing on seat belt use and safe driving practices.

During the enforcement campaign, Burr Ridge Police Officers issued:

🔹 13 seat belt citations
🔹 20 citations for other traffic violations
🔹 2 traffic-related arrests

These enforcement efforts are designed to help keep our roads safe and remind everyone that making safe choices behind the wheel can save lives.

Thank you to our community for doing your part to drive safely. Buckle up, follow the speed limit, and never drive impaired.

The Burr Ridge Police Department is proud to participate in the Blue Envelope Program!

The program provides a blue envelope that holds important documents such as a driver's license, vehicle registration, and proof of insurance. When presented during a traffic stop, or other Police encounter, the envelope serves as a visual cue that the driver may need additional time, patience, or a different communication approach.

The Blue Envelope provides important information that can help officers better understand an individual's needs and communicate more effectively during an interaction.

This program is a great example of how awareness, understanding, and community partnerships can make a meaningful difference in everyday situations.

The Burr Ridge Police Department is proud to announce that Free Narcan (Naloxone) is now available in the Police Department lobby, located at 7700 County Line Road.

This resource is provided in collaboration with the DuPage County Health Department and the DuPage Narcan Program.

Narcan (Naloxone) is a medication that can rapidly reverse an opioid overdose and can be administered by members of the public in an emergency.

Anyone interested in receiving more information or training on how to administer naloxone can contact Community Policing Officer Harvey by email at [email protected]. We encourage residents to take advantage of this free resource and learn how Narcan can help save a life.

At the Burr Ridge Police Department, we're proud to serve alongside officers who have already answered a different call to duty. To honor their military service, we purchased commemorative bricks for our officers who served, now on permanent display at the Burr Ridge Veterans’ Memorial as a lasting thank-you from our department and community.

These Officers answered the call to serve our country before they ever put on a badge to serve our community. We're grateful for their sacrifice, dedication, and continued service.
