Check your mailbox! 📬 The CDC’s National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) is collecting data in DuPage County, and some Burr Ridge households are among those randomly selected to take part.

Selected residents receive an invitation letter from the Director of the CDC, and participation includes a brief interview and a health exam at the NHANES Mobile Examination Center, stationed at the Chicago Marriott Southwest at Burr Ridge through mid-December.

Participation is voluntary and confidential, and participants receive a report of their results and compensation for their time and travel expenses.

Fall cleanup season is here, and the Village's annual brush pickup begins Monday, October 26. 🍂

This service is for brush too large for weekly yard waste pickup. Brush must be on the parkway by 7:00 a.m. that day. Crews make only one pass per street, so piles that aren't out in time or don't meet the guidelines will be left behind.

Before you put brush out:
🍁 Branches must be no more than 8"" in diameter and shorter than 6' in length
🍁 Stack them neatly on the parkway, parallel to the curb, at least three feet from trees, hydrants and mailboxes
🍁 Remove all wire, string, staples, nails and other metal
🍁 Stumps, root balls, lumber, rocks and grass are not collected
🍁 Twigs shorter than 18"" go in yard waste bags for your regular waste carrier
🍁 Branches removed by contractors are not eligible

As leaves come down, please bag, mulch or compost them rather than sweeping or blowing them into the street. Leaves can clog storm drains, which leads to street flooding and polluted waterways. Keeping the drain near your home clear also helps.

The Burr Ridge Police Department has launched the Blue Envelope Program! 💌

This free initiative supports drivers with special needs, such as autism, non-verbal communication, or other conditions, during traffic stops. The blue envelope keeps essential documents organized while immediately alerting officers to a driver's specific communication needs and emergency contacts.

Pick up a free envelope at the Police Department front desk (7700 County Line Rd) during regular business hours, or request one directly from an officer on duty.

Burr Ridge residents: Seasonal lawn watering restrictions for the year are officially over, and normal watering schedules may now resume.

Between May 15 and September 15, regulated watering hours help conserve our shared Lake Michigan water supply and maintain compliance with Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) standards.

Thank you for your community effort in protecting our water resources! 🌿
