For those of us in the fire service, the number 343 carries a weight that words can hardly describe.

Several emergency responders jumped into action that day while 343 made the ultimate sacrifice 25 years ago. They ran toward danger when others were running away, answering the call to save lives. Their courage and their sacrifice became forever woven into history. We are forever humbled by their commitment and service.
