🚒🔥 Race Track VFD Fire Prevention Week 🔥🚒

On Friday, Race Track Volunteer Fire Department had the opportunity to visit Grand Avenue Montessori for Fire Prevention Week!
Our firefighters spent time with the kids teaching them about what firefighters do and what they look like in all their gear, the importance of fire safety, and how we help protect our community. The kids also got to explore the fire truck, check out the equipment, and even try their hand at spraying some water! 💦👨‍🚒
We love getting out into our community and helping the next generation learn about fire safety in a fun, hands-on way. A big thank you to Grand Avenue Montessori for welcoming us and giving us the opportunity to spend time with your students!

Today, on International Firefighters’ Day, we want to take a moment to recognize and thank all of the incredible men and women who have served through our department past and present.

Your dedication, sacrifice, and countless hours spent training, responding, and protecting our community do not go unnoticed. It takes a special kind of person to answer the call, especially for free, and we are proud to stand alongside each of you.

This day is a reminder that while the job can be incredibly rewarding, it can also come with challenges. At times, it has been difficult feeling unappreciated by local county leadership. But through it all, one thing has never wavered, our commitment to this community.

To the people of Butte: Thank You! Your continued support, encouragement, and trust in us means more than you know. You are the reason we continue to dedicate so much of our time and energy to protect and serve.
Today, we honor every firefighter who has worn our patch and those continuing to serve. Stay safe, and thank you for all that you do.

🚒🐰 Happy Easter from Race Track Volunteer Fire Department! 🐣🌷
We hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable Easter filled with family, friends, and plenty of fun!
As you celebrate, here are a few quick Easter fire safety tips to keep in mind:

🔥 Kitchen Safety:
Holiday meals mean busy kitchens—never leave cooking unattended and keep flammable items away from the stove.

🕯️ Candle Awareness:
If you’re using candles for decorations or services, keep them away from children, pets, and anything that can burn. Always blow them out before leaving the room.

🌾 Decorations:
Keep Easter grass, baskets, and decorations away from heat sources like stoves, fireplaces, and heaters.

🔌 Electrical Safety:
Avoid overloading outlets with holiday lighting or decorations, and check cords for damage before use.

From all of us at Race Track VFD, thank you for your continued support. Stay safe and have a wonderful Easter! 🚒💐
