The Byron Lions Club is sorry to announce that two current members and one former member passed away this week. James Nathan "Jim" Harden had been a member of the Byron Lions Club for 45 years and was instrumental in the success of two of our biggest fundraisers--the Annual Pancake Breakfast and the yearly Turkey Shoot.

Lion Minnie Gibson had been a member of the Byron Lions Club for over 20 years and was best known for her beautiful smile and cooking the scrambled eggs for the Pancake Breakfast.

Former Member Charlie Short had been a Lion since 1992. While a member of the Byron Lions Club he served in many positions, but was the long-time Club Secretary. Charlie and his wife Lion Connie Short moved to Washington State a few years ago, where he and Connie joined a local Lions Club. Two years ago they moved to Jamestown NY, which was Connie's hometown.

These three lived the Lions motto--We Serve.

Our thoughts and prayers are with their families at this time.

Secretary, Byron Lions Club
