Today, we celebrate not only the dedication and hard work that earned these promotions, but also the leadership, courage, and commitment they bring to our department every day.

From Engineer to newly approved Lieutenant ranks, this is a new chapter and an even greater responsibility to lead, serve, and protect. We couldn’t be more proud of these three!

Today marks a quarter of a century since the world changed forever. On this 25th anniversary of September 11th, we pause to remember the 2,977 innocent lives stolen from us, and the families who still feel their absence every single day.

As firefighters, this day carries a profound and heavy weight. We solemnly honor the 343 FDNY brothers and sisters who ran into the towers when everyone else was running out. They knew the risks, but their dedication to saving others was greater than their fear. Their ultimate sacrifice remains the highest example of duty, courage, and selfless service.

"Never Forget" is more than just a phrase; it is a promise we keep every time we put on our gear, climb onto the rig, and answer a call in our community. We carry their legacy forward in everything we do.

The CFD Dive Team had a great time assisting Mt. Springs Volunteer Fire Department with their cardboard boat race at Indian Lake on Saturday! 🛶😄

It was a fun day filled with teamwork, laughs, and, most importantly, a safe time had by all!
