On behalf of everyone at New Hope Shelter, we want to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who attended our 80K in 80 Days Campaign Kickoff Event at Wildflour!

Your presence, encouragement, generosity, and willingness to learn more about the work we do mean so much to us. We are truly blessed to be part of a community that cares about individuals and families experiencing homelessness.

🎉 WE HAVE NOW RAISED $9,459.99 TOWARD OUR $80,000 GOAL!

What an incredible start! But we still have a long way to go, and we need YOUR help!

🏠 WHY IS RAISING $80,000 SO IMPORTANT?

At New Hope Shelter, we are More Than Just a Bed.

We provide emergency shelter, but our mission goes far beyond giving someone a warm place to sleep.

Every day, our dedicated staff and case management team walk alongside individuals and families who are facing some of life's most difficult circumstances. We help them navigate housing applications, connect with community resources, overcome barriers, and work toward permanent housing and independent living.

We don't just want to provide a place for someone to stay. We want to help them find a way forward.

But providing these services comes at a cost.

As the expenses of operating our shelter continue to rise, we face an ongoing challenge of securing enough funding to maintain the compassionate, qualified staff and individualized case management that are so essential to our guests' success.

What a blessing it was to have the wonderful volunteers from Living Light School of Worship at New Hope Shelter today!
These amazing servants of God generously gave their time and energy to help deep clean some of our much-needed living spaces for the guests we serve. 🧹❤️
While our staff works hard to keep our shelter clean each day, a good deep cleaning is always needed from time to time. Having a group of willing hands and servant hearts come alongside us to help with this important task is truly a blessing!
Your willingness to serve is such a beautiful example of God's love in action. Through your generosity, hard work, and dedication, you have helped us continue providing a clean, safe, and welcoming environment where our guests can feel cared for and valued.

At New Hope Shelter, we are blessed to have staff members who go above and beyond to make a difference in the lives of those we serve. This month, we are honored to recognize Shelly Latreille as our Employee of the Month!

For over five years, Shelly has been a faithful and dedicated member of the New Hope family, serving our guests during the overnight hours.

Shelly is generous, considerate, knowledgeable, and has a heart filled with compassion. Her kindness and genuine concern for others are truly beyond words.

While much of our community is sleeping, Shelly is here providing a safe and welcoming environment for those who need it most. She takes the time to listen, offer encouragement, and pray with and for our guests. She understands that sometimes the greatest gift we can give someone is simply our time, a listening ear, and the reassurance that they matter.

Shelly continues to demonstrate her commitment to a trauma-informed approach, recognizing that every person who walks through our doors has a story, and everyone deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, patience, and compassion.

Above all, Shelly is a loyal and faithful servant of God, allowing His love to shine through the work she does each and every day.

At New Hope Shelter, we believe that providing shelter is just the beginning. Our mission is to offer safety, stability, hope, and a way forward for every individual and family who walks through our doors.

Each quarter, we give our guests the opportunity to share their experiences through our Guest Satisfaction Survey. We take their feedback seriously because the voices of those we serve matter!

📊 We are sharing the results from this past quarter! We are encouraged by the feedback we receive, but we also recognize that there is always room to learn, grow, and improve.

Our goal is not simply to provide a warm bed and a meal. We want every guest to feel safe, respected, valued, and supported. Through compassionate staff, individualized case management, and meaningful connections, we strive to walk alongside our guests as they work toward independence and stable housing.

Today, we want to recognize one of our faithful volunteers who regularly shows up to help pack the lunches we provide each day for our guests. 🥪🍎

These lunches are more than just a meal. They provide nourishment for our guests as they head out to work, attend appointments, search for employment, or take the next steps toward stability and independence.
