Good stories deserve good storytellers!

Georgia Public Library Service (GPLS) is hosting a FREE Community Read-Aloud Training at RML to help us build a team of volunteer readers throughout Grady County!

This training is designed for adults interested in volunteering to read with children in schools, daycares, library programs, and other community settings. Participants will learn practical techniques for making read-alouds more engaging through rhythm, movement, and interactive storytelling.

November 5 | 9 AM–12 PM
RML Auditorium

Whether you’re interested in becoming a volunteer reader or already work in early literacy, this training is for you!

Wednesday: American Mah Jongg Open Play | 1–3 PM

Saturday: Saturdays Around the World | 10:30 AM

Our first American Mah Jongg Open Play is this Wednesday! All skill levels are welcome, but space is limited, so don't forget to register!

Libby Users: A Quick Update!

Libby is a free app that lets you borrow eBooks, audiobooks, and more using your library card. Read or listen right from your phone, tablet, or other compatible device!

Libby has updated its sign-in requirements to help keep your account secure. You'll now need your library card number AND your PIN/password to sign in.

The good news? It's the same PIN/password you use for your PINES library account!

Interested in learning how 3D printing works?

Join us at Roddenbery Memorial Library on Monday, October 26, from 4:00–5:00 PM for a free 3D Printing Workshop!

We'll cover how to find and download 3D designs, use the library's 3D printer, and get started with 3D printing at home. We'll also go over basic printing rules and guidelines.

Georgia is home to 30 historic Carnegie libraries, funded through Andrew Carnegie's efforts to expand public library access across the country.

Now, you can explore seven of them through the Carnegie Library Trail!

Pick up a trail booklet at a participating Carnegie library or download one online, then visit each of the seven locations to collect stamps. Complete the trail and receive a commemorative coin at your final stop, while supplies last.
