It was our honor to host 13 law enforcement professionals from the Indo-Pacific region yesterday for a discussion about combating transnational crime.
The group was visiting the Treasure Valley as part of the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) and Global Ties Idaho. During their visit, they had the opportunity to hear from Sheriff Kieran Donahue about the ongoing fight against criminal bad actors like China and the Mexican cartels. In response, many of the visitors shared that they are battling the very same criminal organizations and challenges in their own regions of the world. They also had a chance to tour our jail.
It was an honor to spend some time with these incredible men and women and discuss our shared experiences and challenges as law enforcement professionals.

We’ve seen an uptick in crashes across Canyon County in recent weeks, many of which could have been prevented with a few simple choices behind the wheel.
Please do your part to help keep our roads safe:
🚗 Slow down and obey posted speed limits
📵 Put the phone away while driving
🔔 Stay alert and avoid distractions
✅ Buckle up
Every decision behind the wheel impacts not only you, but everyone else on the road. A few extra seconds to slow down or pay attention can make all the difference.
