🐄🏆 Canyon County Beef Carcass Contest
Did you know your market beef project has the opportunity to earn additional cash after fair?

All 4-H and FFA youth who declare and show a market beef project at the Canyon County Fair are automatically enrolled in the Beef Carcass Contest! Animals are evaluated based on carcass quality, with the top 10 exhibitors earning cash awards and the first-place winner receiving a custom championship belt buckle! 🥇

This contest provides youth with an opportunity to continue learning about beef quality and see how their project performs beyond the show ring.

2026 Idaho 4-H Learn Engage Act Develop Summit (ILEADS)

Idaho 4-H LEADS (Learn, Engage, Act, Develop Summit) to be held October 2-4, 2026 at College of Southern Idaho (CSI), Twin Falls, Idaho.
This event will be open to youth in grades 8-12.
$200 for 4-H Youth,
$225 for Non 4-H Youth.
$150 for Adult Chaperones/Volunteers.

This new program aims to:
1. Promote Sparks, Belonging, and Relationships.
2. Reach teens from all delivery modes (Club, Camp, Afterschool, In-school, and special programs) and serve new audiences.
3. Empower Youth Voice to “Lead to Change” for community improvement. With an over-arching emphasis on leadership development, the program will provide learning and teaching opportunities for teens in the areas of:

• Agricultural Sciences

• Health & Well-being

• STEM

• Expressive Arts
