🌼 Celebrating Culture, Remembering Loved Ones 🌼

If you’ve joined us for Parent-Teacher Conferences, you may have noticed a special ofrenda (altar) set up in our cafeteria by a wonderful parent volunteer! 💜🧡💛💚

Each year, we celebrate and recognize a cultural heritage that many in our Washington Elementary community share. Our ofrenda is part of Día de los Mu***os, a holiday that honors and remembers loved ones who have passed away. 💐

We talk about the meaning and traditions of this special holiday in all our classrooms, and we’d love for our Washington families to be part of the celebration!

📸 Families are invited to send in photos of loved ones they’d like to honor so we can add them to our ofrenda.

Please don’t send original photos! You’re welcome to stop by the office, and we’ll happily make a copy to keep your precious memories safe. 💛

Thank you for helping us celebrate culture, cherish memories, and honor the loved ones who will always hold a special place in our hearts! 🕯️🌼

Show up between 4pm-7pm on Monday or Tuesday to meet with your child’s teacher. This is an open format, so feel free to show up at whatever time works best for your family, between the hours of 4pm-7pm. We’re looking forward to seeing our Washington Wildcat Families!!!💙🤍💛

The cringy things I do for our Washington Families 🤪 For those of you who have seen/heard the end of day chaos- you know this isn’t too far from the truth IYKYK 🙌
To help us give your kiddos the BEST education possible- and to make sure your precious cargo gets home safely- please keep these things in mind:

1. Please call to make transportation changes BEFORE 2pm! This ensures your child gets to the RIGHT place, EVERY time! 🚌

2. Please refrain from picking up your kiddo before 3:20pm if possible! They are still getting in some very important learning time up until that time if the day💙💛🤍💙💛🤍
