81 years ago today, on D-Day, June 6, 1944, Allied forces launched the largest amphibious invasion in history across 50 miles of the Normandy coast in France. D-Day was the turning point in the European theater in World War II which eventually led to a European victory on May 8, 1945. The 2C Junior Master Gardener volunteers will be back in the garden this Friday at for the Roots & Wings Nature Club's 2nd session. Youth will be exploring the world of trees, planting a garden of corn, harvesting & tasting what's growing in the garden, and leaf stamping too! ~dlc
