08/25/2026

On Thursday, August 20th we were able to come together with some of our public safety partners to go over the mobile command vehicle and emergency operations center (EOC) capabilities.

Disasters and planned events both require coordination with our partner agencies. Days like this don’t just ensure we know how the equipment works but also how we can best help each other serve Gordon County to our fullest capabilities.

Gordon County Information Technology was also on hand to set up our internet, go over technologies on the mobile command vehicle, and review EOC tech used not just for disasters but also training classes.

Field Coordinator Tim Reeve of Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency brought out his drone that connects with phones and computers to enhance the situational awareness during an event.

Thank you to Gordon County E-911, Sheriff’s Office, and Fire Department for sharing your knowledge and experiences!
